Castle Event Center hosts a memorial reception or a celebration of life in the Great Hall, a quiet indoor space that seats 100–125 guests, with unlimited outdoor seating on the grounds for families who'd rather gather under open sky. The kitchen is set up for outside catering, so a reception meal can be handled by whichever caterer or family member the family trusts, and food is welcome on the property. Weekday rates are lower than weekend rates, which tends to suit a memorial reception better than a Saturday wedding schedule, and the grounds — fountains, stone walls, open lawn — offer a calmer backdrop than a hotel conference room.

Families planning a celebration of life are often doing it on short notice, and the Castle can usually accommodate a date within a few weeks. The property is private — no other event sharing the grounds that day — and close to Lubbock, Wolfforth, and the surrounding communities, so out-of-town family doesn't have far to travel. Parking is on site, and the layout keeps the reception separate from where a formal service might be held, so families can choose whichever combination fits their plans.
